St. Leonard
St. Leonard is the patron saint of prisoners. He was born towards the end of the fifth century in France. His brother Lifard was also a saint.
As Leonard grew up he was moved by Bishop Rheims. Leonard wanted to lead a more perfect life as that of Bishop Rheims. Leonard choose to help prisoners and asked the king of France to grant him the right to liberate prisoners whom he thought were worthy of it. Saint Leonard was soon recognized for his good deeds. As word spread sick people came to him for healing. Saint Leonard died during the second half of the sixth century on the 6th of November.
