Math Help Room

The Mathematics teachers at St. Marcellinus offer after school help, Monday to Thursday, in room 325 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. 

 

EQAO Tests for Grade 9 Applied and Academic Mathematics

The dates for the first semester EQAO tests are Tuesday, January 11, 2011 and Thursday, January 13, 2011.  Students will write in their math class.  The students will have access to workbooks with sample questions from previous tests prior to the test dates.  The Grade 9 Applied EQAO math tests and Grade 9 Academic EQAO math tests are different.  Students in the Grade 9 Essential math course do not write the EQAO test.

Free Math Tutoring Online

There is free online math tutoring available for Grade 7 to 10 math students, Sunday to Thursday, from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.  The one-on-one, confidential live tutoring sessions are with Ontario certified teachers.  To register see the website to below:

Waterloo Mathematics Contests

Students in Grades 9 to 11 will write, the Pascal, Cayley and Fermat contests on Thursday, February 24, 2011 and students in Grade 12 will write the Euclid contest on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Please contact your math teacher for more details before the end of January for students in Grades 9 to 11 and before the end of February for students in Grade 12.
