Download: Your COMMUNITY SERVICE FORM
As stated in Ontario Secondary Schools, Grade 9 to 12: Program and Diploma Requirments, 1999 (OSS), every student must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities as part of the requirements for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The purpose of the community involvement requirement is to encourage studens to develop an awareness and understanding of civic responsibility, of the role they can play, and the contributions they can make in supporting and strengthening their communities.
At St. Marcellinus, we support and assist students in finding many volunteer opportunities. Some are posted below. Students are also invited to come to Guidance and check out our bulletin board that is updated with a wide variety of opportunities.
