Borrowing, Fines and Fees

Most items are borrowed for three (3) weeks. A handy date due slip is given to you when you check out your items showing you the title and when it is due. When items are not returned by the due date, a fine is automatically added to your library account.

Fines are charged for each day late, or part day, including closed days. Late fines can be avoided by renewing material or by using the after hours book drops.  There are four choices for renewing items:

    ·       by using the on-line catalogue in the Library
    ·       by using the on-line catalogue via the Library website
    ·       by using a touch tone telephone
    ·       in person

The Library uses the services of a collection agency to recover charges of $40 or more that have remained unpaid for 28 days. Affected accounts are subject to an additional $12.80 collection fee.

LIBRARY CHARGES:  Check web link for details.
