- Attendance and Punctuality. Attendance is a vital part of any course. Students who miss more than 5 days for any reason – be it school related, appointment, or personal matters – will be required to make up the lost time at lunch or after school.
- Missed material. It is your responsibility to catch up on any work missed due to illness or school-related absence. This will help to keep you up to date.
PLAGIARISM
- It is theft to use the words or ideas of any other person as if they were your own, without acknowledging the source. This applies to any written work or visual source, which includes computers, the Internet, etc. Cheating on tests, quizzes and exams is also a form of plagiarism. PLAGIARISM IS A SERIOUS ACADEMIC OFFENCE. STUDENTS WHO ARE GUILTY OF THIS OFFENCE INVITE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES such as suspension from school.

NOTEBOOK
- Notebooks must be kept up-to-date and organized. Organize your notebook in sections based on the Course Outline.
LATE SUBMISSIONS
- Late assignments. An assignment must be handed in the day it is due. It will be considered late after that time. A mark reduction of 10% will be applied to all assignments submitted late. If the assignment is not submitted a mark of zero will be assigned.

- Students are expected to be present for all tests.
- If a student knows in advance that he/she will be away for a test, he/she must inform Ms. Arnold ahead of time with the valid reason PRIOR to the test date and make alternate arrangements.
- If a student is away on the day of a test, it is the student’s responsibility, immediately upon his/her return (within 24 hours), to make the necessary arrangements to complete the test. Until the test is written (within 24 hours), a mark of 0% is recorded.
