Tests & Quizzes:

A unit test will normally be given at the end of each unit, and quizzes will be given intermittently. Students must provide sufficient notice to the teacher for any legitimate reason that will result in a missed test or quiz. If one is missed, verification by parent/guardian must be provided to the teacher and the student will be expected to write the test upon return.  On the second occurrence of a missed test or quiz, a doctor’s note will be required.

Major Essay, Portfolio Work & Other Assignments:

The ability to meet deadlines is a life skill that is imperative for success. For this reason, it is expected that all work will be submitted on time.  If a student is absent on the day that work is assigned, it is the student’s responsibility to get the work and any explanation from the teacher on their own time.  Late assignments are subjected to a 10% penalty, and no assignments will be accepted after the work has been marked and returned.
