It's a new school year and that means some new stories written by the students.

New stories will be posted throughout the year, so come back from time to time to check them out.

Remembrance Day

by Cayla, Christina, Edward & Isaac

(in Mrs. Moore’s Grade 2 Class)

On November 11 we had a special Remembrance Day ceremony in our gym. We did this to remember and honour all the soldiers who have fought in wars.  We prayed for the soldiers, for our country and for peace.  We stood in silence for 2 minutes, and we sang O Canada. We all wore poppies and we read the poem In Flanders' Fields.  We also remembered that Canadian soldiers are fighting in Afghanistan and we should think of them too.

...and thank you to Mr. Amodeo and his grade 8 class for organising the Remembrance Day ceremony.
