Grade 8 students from St. Michael's feeder schools

Registration Week for Grade 8 students attending one of St. Michael Catholic Secondary School’s feeder schools will be the week of January 16-January 20, 2012. All of our feeder schools will be attending daytime Transition Presentations at St. Michael during this timeframe. Students will receive their Registration Packages at these Transition Presentations.

The Parent Night for incoming Grade 9 students will be Thursday January 19 in the school cafeteria. Displays of student activities and programs will be available beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Matrix and the Transition Meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. sharp. In preparation for this meeting, our Feeder School Parents will receive from their son’s/daughter’s Grade 8 Teacher a copy of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board publication titled Guidance and Career Education Orientation Guide to Secondary School.

Completed Registration Packages are due to the Grade 8 Feeder School Teacher Friday February 10. Each Course Selection Sheet will then be reviewed by our St. Michael Student Success Team to ensure appropriate levels of difficulty have been selected by the students

For students not currently in St. Michael's feeder schools or Dufferin-Peel Elementary school

Grade 8 students not currently in a St. Michael Feeder School, or Dufferin-Peel Elementary School, may pick up a Grade 9 Registration Package here at St. Michael on Friday March 2, 2012. These packages will be available in the Attendance Office beginning at 7:00 a.m. Spaces will be limited so it would be a good idea to get here early.
These Registration Packages are due back to the Main Office at St. Michael as soon as possible. Each Registration Package will be reviewed by the Vice-Principals and admission decisions will be forthcoming.
Parents and students may be required to meet with our ST. Michael Student Success Team to determine the selection of appropriate levels of difficulty.
