Parenting and Family Literacy Centre
St. Monica School is proud to announce the opening of a Parenting and Family Literacy Centre in the school. This program welcomes parents and caregivers with young children from birth to age six to engage in learning and playing together. The program is FREE and will be open from Monday to Thursday from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. on the first floor of our school. Rosanna Ricitano, the parent worker, has begun to welcome families. The goal of the program is to help young children make an easier transition to kindergarten, to foster their early literacy and numeracy skills as well as to support parents and caregivers and enable them to be successful in their parenting role. We look forward to this exciting new program in our school.
