Dear Employer,
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and the Peel District School Board are proud to host the 8th annual Mission Employable Conference to be held April 7th 2011 at the Pearson Convention Centre. Last year’s conference was a great success and we hope to repeat its success and involve over 700 participants!
The Mission Employable Conference is aimed specifically at grade 12 graduating students entering the world of work as well as grade 11's including SHSM students in the Apprenticeship, College and workplace destination students. The purpose of the conference is many-fold:
· to celebrate these students’ choice of entering the working ranks;
· to help these students improve and enhance their employability skills via the activities planned for the day;
· to connect these students to prospective employers.
This year’s conference will consist of a keynote speaker, an employer expo and numerous informative sector panels. Students will have many opportunities to meet employers, learn tips of the trade and discuss employment opportunities.
The registration fee of $50.00 dollars for one day, will cover the cost of a continental breakfast and lunch for two people registered, and one presentation table. Additional staff are welcome at a cost of $25 per person.
We eagerly look forward to your response and participation in this year’s Mission Employable Conference.
Kindly refer to the registration form for further details.
Sincerely,
The Mission Employable Committee
