Research Databases
	Writing a paper?   Research databases contain articles (and graphics) from encyclopedias, dictionaries, newspapers, and magazines.   Primary and secondary sources are available from select databases.   These databases serve as an excellent resource tool for research projects.

Opposing Viewpoints
	Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center is a one-stop source for information on controversial social issues.   This database features viewpoint articles, topic overviews, full-text magazine and newspaper articles, primary source documents, statistics, images and podcasts, and links to Websites.
SIRS
	A reference database containing articles selected weekly from domestic and international magazines and newspapers. Topics covered include business, the environment, family, global issues, health, human relations and science.
Knowledge Ontario
	Knowledge Ontario (KO) is a collaboration of libraries, cultural heritage organizations and educational institutions. Its focus is on connecting Ontarians with digital content to support their information and learning needs.
EBSCOHost
	EBSCOhost provides access to a wide and excellent range of articles and material from the following databases:   Canadian Points of View (social issues discussed) Novelist (book reviews) GreenFILE (humans and the environment) Teacher Reference Centre (for teachers)
Independent Learning Centre
	The Independent Learning Centre is a resource provided by the Ministry of Education offering students free online tutoring, seminars and homework help.
Teen Health and Wellness
	Real Life & Real Answers. This database filled with current issues concerning teens. Topics include (but are not limited to):  Body Basics, Diseases, Diversity, Friendships, Dating and Relationships, Drugs & Alcohol, Eating Disorders, Family Life, Nutrition, Fitness & Appearance, Sexuality & Sexual Health, and Skills for School.
Grolier Online
	An online encyclopedia containing reference material, multimedia files, world newspapers, dictionaries, thesaurus and atlas components. Dictionaries and reference materials in Spanish are also included.
Statistics Canada
	E-Stat allows users to make charts and graphs concerning Canadian Census statistics, including socioeconomic and population data.
