Somewhere Over the Rainbow

TREE HUGGERS ENTER A RAIN BARREL COMPETITION

In our rain barrel design, we have a variety of common nature symbols. Since a rain barrel’s purpose is to collect rainwater and use it to water gardens and other things, we decided to draw waves of water to represent rainwater.

Since we are part of the Tree Huggers eco-school team at Saint Nicholas School, we decided to draw a tree in the back of the water waves to represent that we are members of this team.

Lastly, we decided to draw a rainbow behind all other symbols to represent that after it rains, a rainbow appears in the sky.

That is our reasoning for why we chose things that we did to put on our rain barrel design.
