Music Monday is a program, which began in 2005 as a way to celebrate the importance of music in our lives, and to promote music education in schools.  It is sponsored by the Coalition for Music Education in Canada, who each year, commission a special song to celebrate our gift of music.

This year Our Lady of Fatima School registered to participate in Music Monday.   We practiced for several weeks and on Monday, May 7 we went outside to sing the Music Monday theme song.  Since we had such a great choir outside, we also sang some other songs: Lord of the Dance, to celebrate the Easter season, and the Hail Mary, since May is traditionally a month to honour our Blessed Mother.

Mrs. Stephens would like to thank all the participants, who worked so hard and sang so beautifully; Mr. Kennedy, for sharing his time and his amazing talents; and all the spectators who came out to listen.  Hopefully, Music Monday can become an annual event.
