RESOURCES IN THE SCHOOL LIBRARY INFORMATION COMMONS(SLIC)

The SLIC contains a variety of resources for learning, research, and pleasure reading. Fiction and non-fiction books, paperbacks, Graphic Works, National Geographic, and magazines are catalogued in the library computers. Please ask the Library staff if you require assistance in locating any materials.
ENCYCLOPEDIAS
There are several subject specific and general encyclopedias for student research purposes. The Encyclopedia of Ancient Civilization, New Catholic Encyclopedia, and The World Book Encyclopedia are just a few of the titles that we have. Encyclopedias do not circulate and must be used in the Library.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC
Bound copies are available for use in the Library dating back to 2000.
PAPERBACK FICTION
The paperback collection can be found on the wooden spinners near the back of the Library. They are shelved alphabetically by author and are available for a two week loan.
GRAPHIC WORKS
The Graphic novels are available for a 2 week loan and are on the Reference shelves at the back of the Library.
MAGAZINES and NEWSPAPERS
Magazines and Newspapers for the current year, covering a variety of subjects for research and leisure reading, are displayed at the front of the Library. Some magazine titles include Architectural Digest, Sports Illustrated, Discover, J-14, Seventeen, Canadian House & Home, and Toronto Life. We subscribe to the following papers: Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, The National, and the Toronto Sun.
