More About Our Community:

v     Philip Francis Pocock was named Coadjutor Archbishop of Toronto in 1961 and ten years later he became the Archbishop of Toronto.

v     During his years as Archbishop, he created a Catholic fundraiser entitled Share Life;

v     This charity has served as an umbrella for a variety of charities that the Catholic Church supports, and meets so many of the needs of the community;

v     When Archbishop Pocock addressed the students here at Philip Pocock in 1982, he spoke to the school community about school spirit.  Below is an excerpt.

“What do you mean by a school with a good spirit?  A school with a good spirit is a school in which all students love their school and love each other and love God until it hurts a little.  That means that you must be willing to do anything that is necessary to make your school the best one in this archdiocese, in Ontario, and in Canada.”
