24-Hour Think Fast	-During Lent -Students raise funds for ShareLent, follow initiatives suggested by Development & Peace, and fast for a day. Possible overnight activities at the school.	Chaplaincy Team
Walk Against Male Violence	May Staff and Students will join a city-wide walk to protest the systemic violence of men against women throughout the world. Takes place annually in May.	Ruth Curran
March For Life	Staff and students travel to Ottawa to join a march that celebrates life from conception to natural death. Takes place in early May.	Chaplaincy Team
Tent City	End of May -Students raise money for ShareLife -Students and teachers spend the night outside, sleeping in tents or cardboard boxes. Activities will be designed to give students a taste of what it would be like to be homeless.	Chaplaincy Team

Link	-A new initiative which connects grade 9 students with mentors among the senior students. Alternative Education- Focus on First Nations	Students in our alternative education program will incorporate First Nations studies into their program, including a retreat to ‘Thunder Mountain’. These students will also develop ways to raise awareness of this issue in school.	Dermitt McMahon
