PRAYER FOR THE PEOPLE I WORK WITH
Thank you God for the people I work with.
For their greeting in the morning
And their goodnight when our work is done.
For the sense of comradeship we have all day long.
The cheerful ones and the quiet ones,
The sociable and the shy.
Different though our natures
We meet for a common purpose,
Share common problems,
And pursue common goals.
The strange and wonderful bond
Of a job to be done together
Makes us kin.
We are not "one big happy family",
But a family none the less.
We rejoice like a family
Disagree like a family,
We try to help each other
And are genuinely concerned about each other.
There is a bond between us
That only people who work together can understand
Bless us always and help us remember
That together we are carriers of the dream.
