Sport Teams

Cross Country

The Cross Country team consists of students from grades 5 - 8. The team is chosen based on performance, attitude and attendance. This event will take place in the early fall season. Students are encouraged to attend all of the practices to build up their endurance level.

Volleyball

The Intermediate Volleyball Girls and Boys' teams provide students with the opportunity to represent Sts. Peter and Paul as they compete against other schools within the Mississauga East area. These teams help students to learn the value of commitment in an atmosphere in which cooperation, teamwork and fun are emphasized.

Our Junior Volleyball Girls and Boys' Team help students in grades 4 - 6 to develop and practice skills in the areas of passing, volleying and serving. The teams compete against other schools in the Mississauga East area. Our Junior volleyball coaches hope to create in the students an enjoyment for the game, as well as the spirit of teamwork.

Basketball

Intermediate Girls and Boys' Teams

During the basketball season the children will be given the opportunity to develop their dribbling, passing and shooting skills. They will also be taught the team skills needed to succeed in basketball, as well as other sports. Tryouts are open to all Grade 7 and 8 students for the Intermediate Teams.

Junior Girls and Boys' Teams

Junior Basketball is an introduction to the sport and we hope to develop the enthusiasm needed to go on to play Intermediate Basketball. Dribbling, passing and shooting skills will be taught as well as the rules of the game and the positions played. Junior Basketball is open to students in Grades 4 - 6.

Track & Field

This sport offers a wide variety of events such as the 100m, 200m, 1500m, long jump, and high jump. Participants are initially chosen during a school track and field day. The participants who do well in their events are encouraged to come out to practices. These events are open to students in grades 4 -8. Usually  two participants from grades 4, 5, and 6 with 2 students from both grade 7 and 8  to represent Sts. Peter and Paul at the Family Track and Field Day in June.

IntraMural

Floor Hockey (Primary)

Teams are chosen either by age or grade and all games are played during lunch hour in the gym. The sessions are usually about one month.
