VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL

 

In Varsity Boys Basketball action yesterday afternoon, February13, the Wolfpack tried to make it close against a very Athletic Heart Lake Squad, but in the end could not pull off the upset, after getting within 8 points of the lead.

 

The loss leaves the Wolfpack with a 5 and 5 record. The highlights of the season include our two fantastic upset wins, against Harold Brathwaite and Bramalea Secondary.

 

Unfortunately at the end of the season, we have to say goodbye to the Seniors; Kevin Emmanuel, Lucas Baldasarre, Adrian Koc, Marko Pirovic, Jofh Badrinarayan, , Eric Almeida, Michael Rybka, Brandan Slade, Riley Brennan, Mario Silvestro and Lucas Trevisan.

 

A final world of thanks to our great manager Sara Fodaro and Rebecca Warrian.

VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL

 

In Varsity Boys Basketball action yesterday afternoon, Wednesday January 11, the Wolfpack thrilled those attending with an exciting 62 – 60 win.

 

Down by a basket the first quarter, the Pack kept up their great play taking a 6 point lead into the second half.

 

Many standout efforts in the game, including Michael Rybka’s key free throws, Lucas Baldassare’s key shooting and Philip Hasfal’s  dribbling under intense pressure.

 

Players are reminded to meet at the gym immediately after school.

 

 

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL

 

Yesterday, Tuesday December 20, in Senior Boys Basketball action the Wolfpack slid their way to victory on the Mayfield court. Trailing by as many as 9 points in the game, the Wolfpack received some key leadership on defence  creating many turnovers by the Mayfield squad. The win improves the boys record to 4 wins and 0 losses. Players must see Mr. Warrian today regarding practice over the holidays.

 

 

 

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL

 

IN Senior Boys Basketball action yesterday, Thursday December 15, The Blizzard from Harold Brathwaite attempted a deep freeze but the Wolfpack would have nothing of it.

 

After being down by 6 points at the half the boys played an excellent third quarter building a 2 point lead. With time running out the Wolfpack held onto a slim 2 point lead, Mr. Clutch Marko Pirovic drained two free throws and the rest goes down in the history books as one of the finest wins your coaches have witnessed. Well done gentlemen.

 

 

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL

 

In Senior Boys Basketball action yesterday, Tuesday December 13, the Wolfpack faced the Bobcats from BCA. After a fine outside shooting performance in the 1st half by the Bobcats, the Wolfpack found themselves clinging to a slim lead at halftime.

 

After a Winston Churchill like speech by our managers Sara and Rebecca, the boys regrouped in the in the 3rd quarter limiting BCA to only 5 points. The Wolfpack were led by Marko Pirovic with a triple double and two threes by Kevin Emmanuel as we stumbled to a 7 point victory.

 

The win gives the boys a record of two wins and 0 losses after their convincing win over St Michael last week. Come on and cheer on the Wolfpack tomorrow at 3:30 in our gym as we turn up the heat on the Harold Brathwaite Blizzard.
