RAPTOR TICKETS!

 

Attention Robert F. Hall students and staff, the Varsity Girls Soccer Team will be raffling off a pair of Raptor tickets!

 

The tickets are $2.00 each or 3 tickets for $5.00. The girls will be selling them on all 3 lunches. Come on out and support your Wolfpack

 

 

THINKFAST 

 

Attention everyone who is interested in planning to attend ThinkFast this year. No matter whether or not you’ve been to a ThinkFast before, you are all welcome to help plan it and learn. Our first meeting is Thursday February 9th in the office boardroom on 3C lunch.

 

 

HALL DRAMA

 

Hall Drama has planned an awesome trip to Chicago at the end of April. We will visit the historical gangster neighbourhood, watch a 2nd city comedy show and many more exciting things. If interested please pick up a form in the Drama office. Deposit due Friday February 10th.

 

 

 

ROBERT F. HALL SENIOR HITMEN

 

Robert F. Hall Senior Hitmen will be competing in Barrie next Monday, February 13th. Take the bus down with the team after school, grab a bite to eat, and cheer for your friends for a night of hilarity! The bus and ticket to watch the event are $10.00, go see Ms Machado in the drama office for a permission form.

 

 

WATERLOO MATH CONTEST

 

Students in grade 9, 10, and 11 interested in writing the Waterloo Math Contest must sign up and receive the info sheet at the Math Office. The contest is being written on February 23rd.

 

 

OPTIMIST CLUB OF CALEDON

Optimist International Oratorical Contest

Topic:

·         “How my Optimism Helps me Overcome Obstacles.”

 

Who:

·         Students under the age of 18 as of December 31, 2011 who have not yet graduated from high school or equivalent.

 

How to Enter:

·         Interested students must contact Paul Reader, President of the Optimist Club of Caledon at paul-reader@hotmail.com

·         Students need to submit a speech on the pre-assigned topic.

·         Time allowed will be not under 4 minutes or over 5 minutes.

 

Deadline:

·         March 15, 2012

 

Caledon Optimist Oratorical Prizes:

·         1st  $100, 2nd $50, 3rd $25

·         1st place then goes to compete for the provincial $2,500 prize.

 

 

SPORTS CORNER

 

VARSITY BOYS BASEBALL

 

For all those interested in playing Varsity Boys Baseball, you must put your name on the sign-up sheet found outside Room 210. Any questions, please see Mr. Lebar or Mr. Sweeney. Before players will be able to try out, they must complete a Power of Attorney Sheet which can be downloaded off the school’s website. This must be handed to Mr. Sweeney before you can tryout.

 

 

 

JUNIOR SOCCER

 

There will be a Junior Soccer practice after school on Friday for any grade 9 or 10 student.

 

 

 

BOYS LACROSSE

 

There will be a short meeting on Thursday February 9, Period 3C in the weight room for those boys interested in boys lacrosse this year.

 

 

 

VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL

 

Varsity Boys Basketball players are reminded of our two upcoming practices prior to Tuesday’s game. On Friday we’re in the small gym after school and Monday we’re back in the main gym.

 

 

 

JUNIOR BOYS HOCKEY

 

Our next game is Thursday against David Suzuki.

 

 

 

GIRLS RUGBY

 

Any girls in grade 9-12 wishing to play Rugby this year must sign up at the Phys Ed Office door. There will also be a mandatory meeting on Monday after school in Room 1000. If you cannot make it to meeting, you must see  Ms Knappich in the Phys Ed Office before Friday.

We are especially in need of grade 9 and 10 girls.
