MATHEMATICS

In a world that continues to change, the MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT offers to students a variety of courses dealing with the various needs that are placed on us by our colleges and universities and by our society, as a whole. We all try to promote the skill of problem solving in Math and Computer Applications. We strive to have our students become risk takers and team players who can work in a group environment. Whether it is from calculating compound interest, mortgage payments or optimization problems, this department challenges the student on a daily basis to hone his/her critical thinking skills. Students are encouraged to participate in the various Mathematics competitions and in the Dufferin-Peel Mathematics League.
