Yes. This Summer Institute gave a good introduction to Smartboard and I feel more confident about using technology in my classroom.
Yes, I was very computer illiterate and taking this course eliminated my fears. Using a Smartboard in the classroom is one of the best tools a teacher is can ever use. It reaches out to all the personality types in the classroom.
Yes, it was a great introduction to photoshop stuck with the basics and went at a pace that was suitable for someone who has little computer knowledge.

Absolutely, this went beyond what I was expecting. So many great ideas I can use these bookmaking skills and ideas to help my students and give them a wonderful experience.
Yes, very organized. Convenient packages that I will be able to use and photocopy and adapt to my needs. Very helpful in terms of setting up reading program for at risk children which is what I wanted.

Yes it most defiantly did I had a lot of questions I needed answers to and she answered them very thoroughly. She was very enthusiastic and really wanted to ensure that were not confused and she asked what we were asking so that she could clarify it need be, very enthusiastic.
Yes. Although I have learned about reading workshops in the past, I found it very helpful to discuss the components of a balanced literacy program in detail, and have these teaching strategies modelled.
Yes, the presenters covered a lot of material in a short time. There were also many handouts to take home which were beneficial.

Yes at first I was expecting something different as I had attended the other ministry funded math workshops on number sense and geometry and come away with many ideas and activities to use in the classroom. This was different in that it showed us how to come up with lessons using the 3 part model and it made me reflect on how to teach and how I should change things
Yes. Great Ideas! Lots of practical information that I can use in my classroom. I now have a clearer idea of how I want my math program to be structured this year. Lots of ideas for additional resources, websites, etc.

Yes. I learned a lot about dealing with students and challenging behaviors. This is a very important topic and I hope that more workshops about personality dimensions can be offered.

The facilitator provided excellent ideas & ready to use materials. Having the chance to create samples was great & so beneficial. It was also valuable to learn from someone who has a great deal of experience with the program
Absolutely! It was just what I needed and more. Christina was extremely organized, informative and very helpful. I appreciate all the work & time she put into organizing art lessons for the entire year. This was a wonderful surprise!
Great job going through the various elements of design and how they tie into principles of design. Good ideas in terms of how to teach and assess students in art. Ways of encouraging children of all abilities to draw/paint/appreciate art. (e.g., moving from abstract to concrete art)
Gave me an introduction to garage band and a basic working model. Would have appreciated more time to work on this to explore all the different functions.

The Employee Relations team is very pleased that “new” administrators and a few experienced administrators see this session as a valuable opportunity to familiarize themselves with the numerous items that they will need to know and/or be aware of in their own role as a school administrator.

The water bottles were a great idea – could be put to (healthier) use immediately!! Kudos!!

The teachers were able to do some planning, network and resolve some of their concerns around combined grades.

It was a great experience. LOVED co-creating a liturgy. Great seeing people get excited about doing this in their own classroom.

Overall, really good response – particularly enjoyed the choreography portion. We had good discussion as to how a program such as this would fit into a school setting – the various challenges and impacts.
