We teach their minds, we nourish their spirit – and now, it is time to get on board with developing their bodies. Twenty minutes of DPA has not only been mandated by the Ministry – but is the right thing to do. Let us help you plan your activities for fun, variety and curriculum connections. In this session, teachers will participate and leave with a DPA package that is designed with you in mind – ready to go, minimal equipment and organization, teacher friendly and student tested. Topics include classroom circuits, walking games, tag games, cup stacking, bulletin board motivators and more. Please come prepared to participate in moderate physical activity.

Elementary and Secondary
This National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) course is designed to train and educate beginner coaches. The focus is on the theory of coaching children at the early stage of competition in the school or community setting. Coaches will be certified in Introduction to Competition A. A material fee of $30.00 to cover the cost of a coach’s textbook and workbook will be collected at the session.

This two day session will demonstrate to teachers how to use simple yoga-based, mind-body integration techniques as effective classroom management activities. Specifically designed for the classroom, this requires no extra space or equipment. Yoga tools consist of 10-20 minute breath and movement sequences, games and visualizations that anyone can do to immediately feel more attentive, energized and relaxed. Yoga tools help teachers create a more focused, harmonious environment and support students in feeling ready and able to learn. Perfect for DPA and Physical Education classes.
