With effect from the
May 2010 examination session, a grade E in either an extended essay or theory of knowledge will become a failing condition, requiring a candidate to obtain at least a grade D in both these requirements in order for a diploma to be awarded.

B2 - Request for results service (transcripts)
(Grade 12-Year 2 IB students only)
The free of charge B2 Request for results service for universities in North America is due by July 1. If you have not submitted your request for your transcript to be sent to your chosen university by the last day of school in June, you will have to request an electronic transmission or a hard copy to be sent to your school on your own. Please contact the appropriate office for this service (it is at a cost to you).

2012 May IB Examinations -- B2 Service
If a university appears on the list of institutions which accept electronic results (http://ibo.org/iba/transcripts/electronic.cfm), results will be made available to the university immediately after July 5 15:00:00 GMT. For all other universities, IB Americas will process, print and mail all transcript requests submitted by IB coordinators to universities in the US and Canada around the third week in July. Transcripts to Canadian institutions are expected to arrive no later than 30 July.
2012 May IB Examinations -- Results
The results will be published July 5 15:00:00 GMT at http://results.ibo.org. The IB Coordinator will be available to handle your questions and concerns on a daily basis for one week following the publishing of the results. Component grades will be released (+/-) a week later. Please contact the IB coordinator for further details only if you have decided to request re-marking (B4 Enquiry upon results; the deadline is on September 15) of a subject component. Otherwise, please contact your subject teacher for component grades at the begining of the school year. Grade 11, Year 1 I.B. Diploma Programme, students will be able to request this service only at the beginning of the school year up to the listed deadline).
B4 Enquiry upon results service [Deadline: 15-September]
This service is intended for cases where performance is lower than expected.
Additional information on the performance of candidates entered by a school is available through the enquiry upon results service. This includes remarking of externally assessed components (Category 1: the externally assessed components of a candidate’s work are re-marked by a senior examiner). Category 2 involves the return of externally assessed examination material, and Category 3 -- the reports on the sample work for internal assessment. As a consequence of Category 1 Enquiry upon results service a grade may be raised, remain the same or be lowered.
