St. Therese of the Child Jesus School has a Kiss and Ride lane for safe drop off of children who are driven to school. The Kiss and Ride program is on the North side of the school. Please use the Kiss and Ride to drop off your children. Never drop off children at the front of the school where there are bus loading and fire route zones. This area is also a fire route and must remain clear, not only for students boarding and disembarking but also for buses for school trips and any emergency vehicles.
Thank you to the many parents who are accessing the Kiss and Ride Drop off each morning. Students should be dropped off between 9:00-9:15. Please try to assist us in making it safe for all children by cooperating and making use of the drop off lane.
If you are entering the school please park your car in an appropriate and legal spot.
Drivers are requested to drive up to the end of the walkway and stop to drop off your child. Students are to walk on the sidewalk to the playground or to the side door for entry on inclement weather days. Once you have let your child out, please drive on in the Kiss and Ride lane. Please do not drive in the bus loading area as this creates more congestion. If you need to park your vehicle, please do so in a proper parking space or along the fence on the south side of the fence. The parking lot north of the school is reserved for staff only. Parents are asked not to park in this area or allow their children to run through this parking lot, as safety of everyone is a priority.
When dropping off children, safety must be emphasized. Everyone must model effective safety methods. No one should walk between buses in the bus loading zone. The crosswalk must be used at all times.
