GENERAL RULES
• students arriving at school shall go directly to the assigned and supervised areas of the yard. Yard supervision begins 15 minutes before the morning bell.
• students shall enter/exit the school by the doors/staircases indicated by their teacher
• bicycles are to be walked onto and off of school property and locked in designated areas
• skateboards, scooters, rollerblades and any other item with wheels are not permitted on school property
• students are prohibited from using cell phones, pagers, ipods, MP3, gameboys and other personal electronic equipment in the school yard or classroom. The School recognizes student use of these items while walking to and from school.
• items of value must not be brought to school
• food is to be eaten only in designated areas and waste disposed of properly
• students are required to follow all playground, bus (if applicable) and classroom rules and procedures
• students out of class with permission shall not linger in the halls
• chewing gum is not permitted in school.
DRESS CODE
While certain articles of clothing may seem appropriate to students, they may be deemed inappropriate by the school.
School guidelines are:
• Dress neatly and cleanly. The top of the pants must meet the bottom of the shirt with no exposure of midriff or undergarments at anytime.
• Shorts and skirts must be neither too tight, too short or tattered.
• Halter tops, spaghetti strap tops, tank tops/muscle shirts and mesh shirts should not be worn by any student. All tops must cover shoulders.
• Clothing with offensive, suggestive, and/or inappropriate statements or pictures are not permitted.
• Sunglasses (non-prescriptive), hats (non-medical purposes), headbands and other inappropriate headwear must be removed before entering the school building.
• Bandana headbands and wristbands are not permitted anywhere on school property.
• Gloves and wristbands are not to be worn in school.
