St. Joan of Arc student receives invite to World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in California
Jaden Banson, a Grade 11 student at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School in Mississauga, was invited to attend this year's World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) being held June 5-9 in San Jose, California, where he will present his '3-D Molecular Visualizer' program. Using computer programming and science, Jaden developed the program to show the three-dimensional models of molecules along with essential physical and chemical properties for the compound. He hopes to develop the program into an app that can be used by Chemistry students and teachers.
Each year, Apple Inc., hosts the Worldwide Developers Conference to bring together thousands of brilliant minds representing many diverse perspectives, passions and talents to showcase new software and technologies for software developers.
"What an amazing opportunity for Jaden to showcase his skills and talent on an international stage," says Carl Cini, principal at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School. "We are very proud of this young man and want to congratulate him on all of his hard work."
