Dufferin-Peel Trustees and local MPPs meet for discussion of education issues
On October 1, Dufferin-Peel trustees met with local MPPs to discuss education-related issues. Due to scheduling conflicts, the annual meeting was attended by only three of the seven local Members of Provincial Parliament Linda Jeffrey (Brampton Springdale), Amrit Mangat (Mississauga Brampton South) and Charles Sousa (Mississauga South).
Trustees presented a briefing document for discussion that covered a range of issues of importance to the board and the Dufferin-Peel community. The document has been sent to all MPPs in the Dufferin-Peel jurisdiction as well as the Minister of Education.

Shaping Our Future! Strategic System Review
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is beginning a three phase system-wide Strategic Review. Over the course of this review, we will be inviting Dufferin-Peel stakeholders to share their thoughts with us in key areas. Communication with stakeholders will be carried out through many different avenues, such as questionnaires, focus groups, and public consultation meetings. This review demonstrates our commitment to improve upon student achievement and to ensure that the Catholic dimension of our schools is strong and growing. A final public report will be issued upon completion of this process later in the year.
