I also work with families to connect with community supports/programs, support with financial and housing needs. I provide individual counselling support to students and families as well as through group work at the school. | Hi!! My name is Ms. Darlene Stacknik and I am the Child and Youth Worker at Ascension. My role is to support students who may be struggling with social, emotional, developmental and or behavioural challenges. I provide direct support through individual counselling as well as therapeutic groups. I work collaboratively with other support services staff, teachers, parents and community resources. Students can make an appointment through the link provided on my virtual office that is posted in your google classrooms or through your VP. |

| My role is to help students manage and cope with any emotional or mental health issues/symptons that they may be experiencing. I specialize in working with students from diverse groups and work from a wholistic and anti-oppressive approach to mental health. I provide additional counseling and supportive groups. You can self-refer through the guidance google appointment form or speak with your VP. |

| I work with students , teachers, and famlies to help them understand students learning profiles and provide recommendations for program planning and course selection. I generally recieve referrals from the Ascension Resource Department Head teacher. I can also offer student strategies to help them develop their study skills, reading, writing, and math skills.
