Trustee’s Shawn Xaviour's Message 
Welcome to the 2017-18 school year 

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome students, their parents/guardians and families to our Dufferin-Peel Catholic schools and the start of the 2017-18 school year.  This is always an exciting time, filled with energy, hope and a bit of anxiety as well. Students are making new friends and reconnecting with old friends.  Families are happy to see their children back in the classroom and in many instances, enter the education system for the first time. 

As we begin the new school year, I encourage students and parents, alike, to get involved at your school and take advantage of the many opportunities to become engaged in our Catholic education system. Students, check out the many clubs, teams, and groups that are available. Parents/Guardians, attend school council meetings and contribute your time, energy and ideas.  

We truly have an outstanding system. This comes, not only from our outstanding and committed team of faculty, staff, administration and trustees, in collaboration with our local parishes, but from the many dedicated parents and guardians who contribute at the school level. At Dufferin-Peel, we firmly believe that extraordinary lives start with a great Catholic education and we thank you for choosing a Catholic education for your child(ren).
