Library Policies
General
- Students are to be in full uniform.
- NO food or drinks (except water).
- Personal Electronic Devices (e.g. cell phones, IPod, MP3 players etc.) that interfere or disrupt the teaching-learning environment are not allowed.
- Bags and jackets are to be left on the shelves in the entrance area.
Computer Use
- Computers are available ONLY if they have not been reserved for a class.
- Sign-in at the circulation desk with your John Cabot photo ID card.
- Use the assigned computer ONLY.
- Login as follows: userid - student # ; password - student created password.
- Use the computer and the Internet for school-related activities.
- Report all computer problems to the library staff.
- Personal laptops can be used at school but cannot be connected to the network.
Loans, Fines and Services

- Overdue notices will be sent out every two weeks to the period 1 teacher.
- Students with unpaid fines will NOT be able to renew or borrow any library materials.
- Students are responsible for the replacement cost of any lost or damaged item.

1. The LIBRARY CATALOGUE integrates eBook records with the regular print collection.
2. The SECONDARY e-RESOURCES includes 40 databases as well as Encyclopedia Britannica.
3. The OVERDRIVE eBook collection includes many popular titles ready to be checked out.
4. AR BookFinder helps to identify books with Accelerated Reader Quizzes.
