​P.A.L.S.

Coordinator: Mrs. Poradzisz and Mrs. Jaksa

P.A.L.S. is a playground leadership program that encourages all students to participate in fun, safe playground activities during recess. The objectives of our P.A.L.S program is to increase physical activity, decrease conflict and bullying incidents and provide leadership opportunities for students. This year, our junior and intermediate students participated in a training session led by our Public health nurse, Mrs. Podradisz and Mrs. Jaksa to act as activity leaders in the areas of communication, problem-solving, organization and cooperation. Our P.A.L.S leaders work together in teams to plan and lead safe, inclusive and fun activities for the primary students. We meet monthly to discuss cooperative games, leadership opportunities, conflict-resolution strategies and listen to any further suggestions. We hope to continue another successful year!
