The Science Department at St. Joseph Secondary School is dedicated to helping our students achieve a greater understanding of the world around them. Our goal is to help our students become informed citizens, capable of making intelligent choices in a complex world.
Our Department offers a comprehensive set of courses that provide our students with the opportunity to succeed regardless of what their future may hold. Our courses follow the standards established by the Ontario Ministry of Education as well as the College Board for our Advanced Placement (AP) Program. As such, our highly qualified and enthusiastic team of teachers can meet the needs of our students whether their post-secondary plans involve University, College, or direct entry into the work place.
Health Occupations Students Association (HOSA)
The Health Occupations Students Association, now known as HOSA, is an international organization dedicated to providing educational and leadership opportunities for young people considering a future career in healthcare. The St. Joseph S.S. Chapter of HOSA currently boasts over fifty members who are preparing to attend this year’s Leadership Conference to be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.
