St. Lucy Catholic Elementary School History
St. Lucy Catholic Elementary School, which is located at 25 Kanata Road in Brampton, Ontario, opened its doors to students on September 5th, 2006 and was blessed on May 31st, 2007. The school currently has 380 students. St. Lucy is the patron saint of the visually impaired. From the opening day of the school, imagery associated with sight, blindness, shared vision, needs, the optics of tolerance and recognizing and celebrating the differences in people has been a vital thread of the fabric of our school community. The school has always lived by its mission statement "We are not blind to the needs of others. We are enriched by knowledge and enlightened through the eyes of faith".
