Our Mission

                The Ed LeMay Library Learning Commons is a collaborative space for students and staff to research, either with their class in small groups, or individually. Students can also study, access our online academic databases, and receive technical support. Our goal is to foster learning through the promotion and development of skills that are essential for success. We strive to achieve a supportive and inclusive environment for both staff and students. We emphasize communication, collaboration, creativity, leadership, critical things, and problem-solving skills. Our physical and online collection ranges from classics to contemporary, from manga to Marvel and DC comics, to education information eBooks to nurture student's love of reading and appreciation of literature.

Code of Behaviour for the Library

The Ed LeMay Library Learning Commons is considered a classroom.

Wearing the School Uniform is mandatory when entering or present in the library before or during school hours.

Backpacks, Food, and Drinks apart from water are not permitted in the library.

Rules of Circulation

Books are lent out for a period of two weeks.

Student I.D. card or Student Number must be presented/told when signing out books.

If a student owes fines, books and materials will not be lent to them.

Students with Overdue Books and Fines are required to report to the library immediately.

Computer and Internet Usage

Library Computers, when not booked for a class, are available for students to do their research or other academic needs.

Inappropriate uses such as but not limited to gaming or negative social media behaviour will not be tolerated or permitted.

Misuse of library computers will result in immediate withdrawal of library privileges

Online Library Access

Students have access to hundreds of eBooks and Audiobooks through Sora by Overdrive.

Using a Student Number and Student Password will allow student access.

Students have access to several academic databases. Please see library staff for access.
