ABOUT US:

The St. Mary School Council works closely with the community, parish, principal and staff to support school programs and to provide the best possible learning environment for our students. St. Mary Catholic School Council is comprised of parents, a parish representative, a teacher representative and the school principal.

The Council meets at the school and we welcome parents/caregivers who are interested in learning about their children's education and assisting the Council or volunteering in the school. Our meetings dates for the 2024-2025 school year are Nov. 13th, 2024, Jan. 15th, 2025, Mar. 5th, 2025 and Apr. 30th, 2025. Meetings are held at 6:00 pm in the school library with a hybrid option to attend virtually. Meeting agenda and meeting link will be shared in advance of each meeting via email. All community members are welcome!

This year's first CSAC meeting was held on Sept. 25th and a new council was elected:

The Council is active throughout the school year with fundraising to support various school activities. Specifically, involvement in the Sacraments of The Holy Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation, assistance with graduation, student retreats, student agendas, field trips, Christmas luncheon, charitable works, school beautification, special presenters in the school, student subsidies, stained glass initiatives, special purchases to enhance programs school wide on many levels and goal-setting. Initiatives always include enhancing our volunteer pool, keeping informed on community issues, work in partnership with the parish on Youth Ministry, increasing awareness of School Council activities and communicating school-related issues to parents. School Council meetings provide a vital opportunity for all school stakeholders to discuss and provide input on a range of issues to ensure the best educational opportunities for students at St. Mary School.
