In 2021, in an effort to respond to the impacts of COVID-19, the Government of Canada, in partnership with the Government of Ontario, launched a new temporary COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream funding known as CVRIS. As a result, DPCDSB received over $24M in additional funding to support various eligible projects during this calendar year ending December 31st, 2021. The list of eligible projects outlined below include:
- HVAC replacements and upgrades
- Exhaust fan replacement projects
- Boiler replacements and upgrades
- Water bottle filling stations
- Upgrades to handwashing equipment
- New exterior FDK entries
- New FDK playgrounds
- Portable replacements
- Classroom technology infrastructure
