Plant Facilities and the Construction Department provide support to the Board in the process of selecting Architects; acts as a liaison between the Consulting Team, the Board, academic and corporate administration; authors required reports and prepares Guidelines for school designs as required by the organization. The Department evaluates Consultants’ schedules & budget submissions in detail, essential for all capital projects.
The Construction Department interacts with Consultants directing each firm in the development of the schematic and detailed Design and Contract Documents. It monitors the implementation of the Board’s established policies, other departmental requirements, and ensures that school buildings are tendered in a time sensitive period.
