St. Evan Catholic Elementary School to celebrate Solemn Blessing


On Thursday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m., St. Evan Catholic Elementary School in Caledon will celebrate its solemn school blessing.

A school blessing is a milestone event in the life of a new Catholic school, and normally takes place within one year of the opening of the school. Blessings are highly ceremonial occasions with a strong community focus, and are attended by students, parents, clergy, school staff, board officials, school trustees and other elected officials.

St. Evan Catholic Elementary School, located at 500 Dougall Avenue in Caledon, opened on January 7, 2019. It is home to 416 students ranging from JK to Grade 8.
