DPCDSB opens two new Catholic elementary schools in Brampton
When classes resume on September 2, over 70,000 students across the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) will return to classrooms for the 2025-26 school year. This fall, DPCDSB will open two new Catholic elementary schools in Brampton, enhancing access to Catholic education in the growing community.
St. Ruth Catholic Elementary School, located at 320 Robert Parkinson Drive, is a newly constructed, 51,053 square foot facility with a capacity for 435 students. In addition to state-of-the-art learning spaces, the school includes a child care centre offering programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, supporting local families and early learning needs.
Also opening this fall is the newly rebuilt St. Anne Catholic Elementary School, located at 124 Vodden Street. The original school was closed in June 2023, and a new 49,062 square foot facility has been constructed on the same site. The updated school will accommodate 504 students and features a new bus loop and kiss 'n ride to support safer and more efficient student drop-off and pick-up.
Staff and students at both schools will mark the beginning of a new chapter with community celebrations in September.
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of the largest and most diverse school boards in Ontario, serving over 70,000 students in 151 schools throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, and Orangeville.
